The Royal Spanish Golf Federation has initiated a volunteer recruitment campaign for the upcoming 2014 Open de España, taking place at Camiral Resort between May 15-18. Approximately 200 volunteers will be required to help during the four-day tournament that sees one of the oldest tournaments in continental Europe return for the third time to Spain’s number one golf course. The Royal Spanish Golf Federation has launched a promotion campaign to recruit 200 volunteers to help during The 2014 Open of Spain, which will be held at Camiral Resort from May 15-18. Miguel Girbes, Golf Director at Camiral Resort explains: “Volunteers play an important role in the organisation and ultimate success of a golf tournament. “Their invaluable efforts and commitment are critical to the smooth running of an event’s operations, and add to spectators’ experiences to help make it a memorable, first-class event.” Roles on offer before and during The 2014 Open de España will include marshalling, scorering, helping with transportation, registration and hospitality. Miguel Girbes adds: “Volunteering at The Open de España is a great way of being part of one of the oldest tournaments in continental Europe and offers some great opportunities. Volunteers can interact with spectators, witness first-hand European Tour stars compete for the title, and even, in some cases, interact with the players themselves.” To become a volunteer of The 2014 Open de España, visit: www.opendegolf.es/voluntarios.html
